Sweden, along with many other countries, is facing a gradual decrease in the number of young people who choose to study science and engineering. With the intention to bring about a change, five national resource centres for mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and technology education have been established by the government and are located at five different universities with the purpose to reinforce the aim to be national centres and to spread the activities to all Sweden.
The National Resource Centre for Physics Education is aimed at being a resource for teachers from preschool to upper secondary school (high school). The aim is to inspire and stimulate the development of physics education and to give teachers the opportunity to further studies of physics.
